Homeland Security

The 2021 HSEM Career Pathways Resource Guide has been updated to showcase were people can get education in Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, Emergency Medical and Fire Services, Homeland Security Emergency Management, and Occupation Health and Safety.  The Guidebook is available to be downloaded on the Center’s website, and there is a Spanish language version.  Download the Guide from our Guidebooks section at: https://www.coehsem.com/our-services/

Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing

The COE is piloting a new online self-assessment tool for employers. The assessment is designed to identify the academic competencies and skill proficiency levels needed for skilled, entry-level manufacturing jobs at various companies.

Clean Energy

Two state-wide events promoted utilities and careers in energy: Public Power Week (Oct 3 – 9) and Careers in Energy Week (Oct. 16 – 23). The latter was supported by a proclamation from Governor Inslee claiming: Whereas, energy is a fundamental part of everyday life, is vital to our state’s economy, provides careers to thousands of Washingtonians…Visit cleanenergyexcellence.org to view the proclamation as well as energy education programs and career information throughout our state.
