HOMELAND SECURITY

The Certified Safety Specialist Apprenticeship Program is Washington’s first registered apprenticeship in the field of occupational safety and health, offered at Edmonds Community College.

MARINE MANUFACTURING & TECHNOLOGY

The NW Center of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing & Technology is supporting the planning and development of a registered apprenticeship program for the technical marine trades, led by the Working Waterfront Coalition of Whatcom County. This apprenticeship will serve the recreational and small commercial sectors of the maritime industry and will focus on the northwest counties of the State at this time.

GLOBAL TRADE & SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

We are partnering with the Transportation Club of Seattle to set up a new mentorship program that matches business people from the club with students enrolled in the Global Trade and Logistics program at Highline College. Mentors will meet with the students throughout the year and students will also attend the club's events.
