Construction Center of Excellence

 
 

The Construction Center of Excellence (CCE) provides statewide leadership in creating a skilled and diverse workforce to meet the needs of the construction industry. With emphasis on equity and access, the CCE partners with stakeholders across the state to support pathways from K-12 to apprenticeship, community and technical colleges and on to 4 year degree options.

Deans & Directors Meetings

With collaboration of a planning committee of the WA State Construction Center of Excellence Deans and Directors, the COE will schedule and host three (3) quarterly meetings. These networking meetings will focus on work activities and identify outcomes that are specifically related to identifying skill gaps, and the demand/impact on program development.

Pacific Northwest Apprenticeship Education Conference is Coming to Boise, ID 2022

The Pacific Northwest Apprenticeship Education Conference (PNWAEC) is a biennial conference that creates a platform to strengthen registered apprenticeship, empower the skilled trades workforce, and connects business, government and education.

Toolbox Safety Talks

The Construction Center of Excellence (CCE) created toolbox meeting guides to provide a great format for toolbox talks including visuals and suggestions for continued conversations on construction safety. Each talk has also been translated into a Spanish version.

Celebrating International Women’s Week!

March 11, 2022 - A Virtual Event

Produced in partnership with the NW Center of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing & Technology, the 2020 EmPower Women’s Leadership Conference brought together hundreds of women and men in nontraditional careers to celebrate their success as leaders, inspire other women to find and embrace their inner leader, and showcase the possibilities when women succeed in nontraditional careers.

The Construction Center of Excellence serves the entire state of Washington. We partner with these organizations and many others to support students, workers, and businesses in the construction industry.
