Construction Center of Excellence

The Construction Center of Excellence (CCE) provides statewide leadership in creating a skilled and diverse workforce to meet the needs of the construction industry. With emphasis on equity and access, the CCE partners with stakeholders across the state to support pathways from K-12 to apprenticeship, community and technical colleges and on to 4 year degree options.

Toolbox Safety Talks

The Construction Center of Excellence (CCE) created toolbox meeting guides to provide a great format for toolbox talks including visuals and suggestions for continued conversations on construction safety. Each talk has also been translated into a Spanish version.

Produced in partnership with the NW Center of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing & Technology, the 2018 EmPower Women’s Leadership Conference brought together hundreds of women and men in nontraditional careers to celebrate their success as leaders, inspire other women to find and embrace their inner leader, and showcase the possibilities when women succeed in nontraditional careers.

The Construction Center of Excellence serves the entire state of Washington. We partner with these organizations and many others to support students, workers, and businesses in the construction industry.

The Teacher Externship opportunity was amazing. Spending time in industry, with an employer gave me so many ideas I could use in my classroom and better prepare students for their careers. I never would have been able to do this without the Construction Center of Excellence creating the opportunity.
