The Center of Excellence for Global Trade and Supply Chain Management is committed to building a highly skilled workforce for the global trade and supply chain management sector through job training and curriculum development. By collaborating with our partners in industry and education, we are helping to develop the next generation of workers to fill jobs in air, sea, and land to support the things a world-class supply chain requires and so Washington businesses are able to get materials, data, finished products, and services out quickly and efficiently.
Program Highlights
Follow the supply chain Study abroad
Our Follow the Supply Chain Study Abroad program provided a diverse group of students from four colleges to study the supply chain up-close both in Vietnam and here in Washington state.
Global trade jobs dashboard
We are working to develop a jobs dashboard that will display in a graphically user-friendly way the types of jobs in the global trade and supply chain sector, their average pay and where they are located. We will also provide information on the training needed to get these jobs and the pathways for getting that training. And, we will post actual job listings in the sector, as well as internship opportunities.
